Guida Insight ("Guida Insight", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of clients, experts, applicants, and visitors to our website. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and safeguard it, and the rights available to you. It is drafted in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Reasonable Security Practices Rules, 2011, and applies in addition to any local privacy laws that govern a specific engagement (including within the UAE and other jurisdictions where we operate).

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Client information: name, employer, business email, telephone, role, and details of the mandate you share with us.
  • Expert information: name, contact details, professional history, areas of expertise, employer, geographic experience, and, where relevant, bank details for compensation.
  • Website usage data: IP address, browser type, device information, referring URL, and pages visited, collected through standard log files and cookies.
  • Communications: emails, form submissions, consultation notes, and any voluntary information you share with us.

2. How we use your information

Your information is used to:

  • Deliver, administer, and improve our expert network services.
  • Match client mandates with appropriate experts.
  • Screen engagements against conflict, MNPI, and compliance rules.
  • Process compensation, invoices, and other lawful payments.
  • Communicate about your account, engagements, or inquiries.
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.

We process personal data only for specified, lawful purposes and on a lawful basis such as consent, contractual necessity, legal obligation, or legitimate business interest.

3. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:

  • Clients or experts, strictly as required to progress an engagement and subject to executed non-disclosure agreements.
  • Service providers who support our operations (for example, secure hosting, email, and payment processing), bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
  • Regulators, courts, or law-enforcement authorities where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

4. Data security

We follow reasonable security practices and procedures proportionate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, consistent with the IT (Reasonable Security Practices) Rules, 2011 and internationally recognised standards. Measures include access controls, encryption in transit, secure hosting, structured briefings, audit trails, and regular review of our practices.

5. International data transfers

Guida Insight operates across UAE, India, and other markets. Your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in jurisdictions outside your country of residence. Where required, such transfers are protected by contractual safeguards consistent with applicable law.

6. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations, or to resolve disputes. When information is no longer required, it is deleted or securely anonymised.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or updating of inaccurate information.
  • Request erasure of your data, subject to legal or contractual retention obligations.
  • Withdraw consent for processing based on consent.
  • Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity, as provided under the DPDP Act.
  • Lodge a grievance with our Grievance Officer (below).

8. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses limited cookies and similar technologies to enable core functionality and understand aggregate usage. You may disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not operate as intended.

9. Children's data

Our services are directed at professionals and institutions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
